BIOGRAPHY

I am a 2005 graduate of Governor Mifflin. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education from Alvernia University. I earned my Masters of Science in Restorative Practices from The International Institute of Restorative Practices in Fall 2015.
I am excited to begin my high school teaching career in the Wilson School District. I co-teach three sections of CP 10 English, and three sections of Transition English. As part of the transition block, the students will be exploring career options and requirements, resume building, and exploring volunteer opportunities outside of the school building.

My husband and I live in Sinking Spring with our two boys, Everett and Finnigan. In my free time, (which is very little!), I enjoy spending time outside exploring nature with my boys, reading, and going on trips.

BIOGRAPHY

I joined the Wilson Teaching Staff in 2017 taking a Special Education position in the Emotional Support classroom.  I was excited to take a new position as the Basic Math/Transition Math teacher in 2021.  While only starting my teaching career in Wilson in 2017, I have been involved in the Wilson community since 2010 as a High School Varsity Football Coach.  I grew up in Berks County graduating from Muhlenberg in 1999.  I then attended and graduated from Penn State University in 2003.  I went into the restaurant business, becoming a store manager for several years before going back to school to become a coach/teacher. After getting my teaching certification, I became a GED teacher working with disadvantaged students in Reading.

I’m excited to be joining the Wilson Community Partners as the Math teacher, helping your students learn about personal finance and money management skills they can benefit from for their entire lives.

BIOGRAPHY
As a Wilson alumnus, I take pride in educating our future Bulldog graduates!  Teaching since 2009, I've been committed to challenging our students to think critically, while developing meaningful relationships.  After completing my bachelors degree in special education from The Pennsylvania State University, I obtained my English as a Second Language certification from Immaculata University (BCIU).  Shortly thereafter, I earned my masters degree as a reading specialist from Kutztown University.  Throughout my years in education, I have successfully created authentic learning experiences that promote student engagement.  As we look toward the school year ahead, remember the words of John F. Kennedy, "Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try."
